On Monday night, I attended an amazing event with Danielle LaPorte. Some of you may know Danielle for The Desire Map (A guide to creating goals with soul) and some of the inspiring programs this Canadian runs.
Danielle covered some interesting topics in her presentation: boundaries versus barriers, self-compassion and choices.
She said: “Everything we do is because we want to feel a certain way. So start with how you want to feel first, so you know what to do.”
I thought about this concept and how it applies to marketing and brands.
What if we applied the same concept? What if we think first about how our clients or prospective customers want to feel when they call our office, visit our store, purchase our product or refer us to their colleagues? What if we focus on the feeling we want to create, then create the campaign or promotion around that?
